CitiQuants, a startup capturing decisional data on human capital and cities' operating cost for rapid corporate expansion and site selection, introduced its multipurpose site selection platform Oct. 22 in Miami and Coconut Grove, Florida.
Including its three-in-one platform, comprising the eKlekos corporate expansion engine, Data Driven Economic Development (DDED) publisher and cloud solution, CitiQuants has launched its first talent and cost solution focused on the voice BPO sector, with six additional innovation-driven sectors.
With 205 cities from 30 countries already standardized in the platform, enterprises can now subscribe and compare the Latin American and Caribbean Nearshore with the offshore markets of Indian and the Philippines, as well as key onshore U.S. and Canadian cities.
Using all three aspects — its new data-driven publisher, city analytics pricing engine and cloud solution — the CitiQuants Platform allows an enterprise to generate talent and location price benchmarking in seconds, at a fraction of the cost currently delivered by traditional management consulting, audit advisory and site selection businesses, according to the firm.
"The Citiquants platform functions as a two-sided marketplace, where cities … are sellers of their locations and the enterprise as buyers of the location," Co-Founder and CEO Philip Peters said."Our model defines all cost data … as 'price' signals on the location and all data points are analyzed as 'assets.' This is all built on the CitiQuants big data notion that the 'quantified city,' must become 'small data' or decisional data to drive a city's competitiveness and appeal to the enterprise.”
Economic development agencies use the CitiQuants proprietary DDED publishing protocol to upload its standardized data sets to the CitiQuants cloud, where it is analyzed and normalized in real-time by its eKlekos engine for dynamic access by enterprise subscribers.
CitiQuants also captures data via the web as well as a network of crowd-sourced independent researchers. Cost data include real estate, talent, utility, communication and travel information.
Subscribers can seamlessly select, rank, rate, predict and benchmark single or multiple cities either with their existing operations or in anticipation of expansion location plans. Rather than competing with the traditional incentive-driven paradigm, the platform operates on the notion that data is a city's "intrinsic asset" with which they can compete effectively, if it is accurate, reliable and fresh.
Given increasingly demanded time and cost savings, and the growth-driven economic development priorities of cities, the CitiQuants platform hopes to create a solution for all involved parties’ growth performance needs.
