Radiology outsource provider Alliance HealthCare Services and pain management service provider PRC Associates announced a joint venture partnership, designed to broaden one another’s national presence while improving access to patient care.
“This partnership builds upon Alliance’s interventional services growth strategy,” Alliance HealthCare Services CEO and President Tom Tomlinson said from the company's headquarters yesterday in Newport Beach, California. “Our focus is to provide innovative interventional therapeutic care through a national network of aligned practices under Alliance HealthCare Interventional Partners.”
The agreement allots Alliance 60 percent of the ownership via its Alliance HealthCare Interventional Partners division, while PRC founder Vinod Malik will retain the remaining portion along with current PRC physician partners and remain as medical director.
“PRC has a phenomenal reputation in the marketplace and is a leader in care for chronic pain patients,” Tomlinson said. “I am delighted to welcome PRC as a part of the Alliance family.”
PRC provides interventional pain management services at eight Central Florida and Palm Coast locations, offering all modalities of pain management and state-of-the-art fluoroscopic equipment.
“Dr. Malik and the PRC care team are pioneers in the pain management space,” Steven Siwek, president of the Alliance HealthCare Interventional Partners segment, said.
