Dr. David Martin, a board-certified rheumatologist and internal medicine specialist, has joined Miramar Beach, Florida-based Sacred Heart Medical Group, the region's largest network of primary care physicians, to bring his brand of expertise to area patients.
Martin has special interests in rheumatoid arthritis and helping his patients improve their daily activities and functional capacity. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases, including arthritis, autoimmune conditions, and other disorders of the bones, joints, tendons and muscles.
Martin, who received his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University’s School of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania, went on to complete his internal medicine residency at The University of Rochester Associated Hospitals in Rochester, New York, after which he continued his medical training by carrying out a rheumatology fellowship with the University of California in Irvine, California.
Sacred Heart Medical Group operates locations in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay and Baldwin counties. Dr. Martin joins two current rheumatologists working at the Emerald Coast location, at 7720 U.S. Highway 98 W, in Miramar Beach; its main headquarters are in Pensacola.
