Naples, Florida-based FTE Networks Inc. recently revealed its plan to utilize Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) products — seamlessly integrating with mobile devices to convey voice messaging and data — for a top network integrator and equipment manufacturer.
The growing network infrastructure support specialist announced that it will provide logistical support under a master agreement with the unspecified client, specifically seeing to cell installation, site surveillance and cabling. Because the contract is open-ended, it offers the potential for further projects in dozens of regional market sectors.
"FTE is excited to partner with this global leader to answer the demand for quality high-speed wireless service," Anthony Sirotka, FTE Networks’ chief business development officer, said. "With wireless carriers earmarking billions of dollars towards infrastructure and development, the rapidly emerging DAS market presents a huge opportunity for us going forward."
DAS products excel in locations with difficult access such as tall buildings as well as parking garages, stadiums, airports and other public places such as shopping malls and health care facilities. Performing equally well within large structures and out of doors, the system compensates for what would otherwise be isolated spots without adequate coverage.
"We are very pleased to continue to strengthen our relationship with this leading network integrator while broadening our regional and national footprint," Michael Palleschi, FTE Networks’ CEO and chairman of the board, said. “Each contract and strong client relationship enables us to continue on our path to profitability in 2016."
David Lethem, who serves as CFO for FTE, stated that the company currently holds approximately $24.5 million in “customer backlogs” for 2016 and expects to continue to draw top clients, widen the firm’s profit margin, and increase shareholder value.
FTE operates offices throughout the U.S. and Europe from its Florida base.
