Chris Hart IV, the newly named president and CEO at Enterprise Florida Inc. (EFI), has a history of helping Floridians find jobs and businesses find talented workers.
As president and CEO of CareerSource Florida, Hart assisted 340,000 citizens find work.
Now, it is his talent that’s being hailed as a boon for the state, as he begins his tenure heading up Florida’s top economic stimulus organization.
“Talent is replacing tax incentives as the economic development tool of choice, and who better to lead Florida’s economic development efforts than the nation’s best workforce champion, Chris Hart,” Mark Wilson, president and CEO at the Florida Chamber of Commerce, said.
As the chamber celebrates its centennial this year, it counts a number of achievements, including lobbying for the creation 20 years ago of EFI. Since 2011, EFI has successfully competed to bring $8 billion in capital investment to the state, which will add 100,000 jobs to state’s growing population.
