Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers will be holding its annual car show featuring antique Ford models on Feb. 4.
More than 100 cars are exhibited on the Ford lawn along the Caloosahtchee River each year by car owners and club members, the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce said in a news release.
The event will also feature music and food will be available for purchase, the release said. Visitors also can tour the gardens and historic homes, in addition to the museum and laboratory.
The show, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., pays tribute to Henry Ford, a pioneer of the automobile industry, and there also will be tours led by Henry and Clara Ford during the event.
The event is free for Edison Ford members and $20 for nonmembers. A portion of the proceeds will go toward the restoration of the antique car collection.
According to the chamber, car owner registrations are now being accepted for Ford models 1980 and older. To register a car, those interested should contact Leeanne Criswell at email@example.com or by calling 239-334-7419. The deadline for pre-registration is Jan. 27. Pre-registration is $15 for one car and $5 for each additional car.
