Hodges University’s Identity Fraud Institute is hosting workshops for legal professionals on data breaches and identity theft this month at its Naples campus.
A workshop titled “Developing a Data Breach Response Plan for Legal Professionals” will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. March 24. Topics covered will include how data breaches can happen, how to minimize the risk of a breach and how to develop a data breach contingency plan, a release on the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce website said. A workshop titled “Identity Theft Restoration for Legal Professionals” will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. March 31. Topics will include risk reduction, methods used by identity thieves and restoring identity once it has been stolen, the release said. The cost for the workshop is $345, or $295 for government and nonprofit employees. The deadline for registration is March 24. Those who register by March 17 will receive a discounted rate of $275.
