Hodges University’s Identity Fraud Institute is hosting workshops for legal professionals on data breaches and identity theft this month at its Naples campus.
A workshop titled “Developing a Data Breach Response Plan for Legal Professionals” will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. March 24. Topics covered will include how data breaches can happen, how to minimize the risk of a breach and how to develop a data breach contingency plan, a release on the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce website said. Topics will include risk reduction, methods used by identity thieves and restoring identity once it has been stolen, the release said. The cost for the workshop is $345, or $295 for government and nonprofit employees. The deadline for registration is March 24. Those who register by March 17 will receive a discounted rate of $275.
