Michael Giresi was named senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) of Miami, Florida-based Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. on Monday.
Prior to this appointment, Giresi served as senior vice president and CIO with Tory Burch, LLC, where he was tasked with the implementation of improved infrastructure and technological initiatives. He also has worked with Godiva Chocolatier, The Estee Lauder Companies and Direct Brands, Inc.
"Michael's background and experience implementing leading edge technology, combined with the skills of our seasoned management team, will be vital as Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. continues to innovate and accelerate its global expansion," Alex Goldstein, president and chief operating officer of Royal Caribbean, said. "His broad experience and proven leadership will provide the company with the necessary tools to marry technology solutions that will continue to differentiate us."
Giresi holds an MBA from the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph's University and a bachelor's degree in English from Seton Hall University.
He has approximately 20 years of experience with implementation of technology initiatives.
