Choice Hotels International signed an agreement today with CGI Merchant Group and 163rd St. Executive Center LLC to develop a Cambria hotels and suites brand property in North Miami Beach, Florida, to open in 2017.
The 165-room Cambria hotel, to be constructed at the intersection of 163rd Street and 19th Avenue, will offer a contemporary bistro serving a menu of local specialties; liquor, wine, and beer; gourmet salads and sandwiches; and a barista bar.
"We continue to experience strong momentum in bringing the Cambria hotels and suites experience to new business and leisure travelers, and we're excited to announce our new hotel in North Miami Beach," Michael Murphy, Choice Hotels International’s senior vice president for upscale brands, said. "This is a fantastic location with explosive growth, and we can't wait to bring our brand to travelers in this market."
All Cambria hotels are new construction and feature a large lobby for an enhanced social atmosphere; spacious all-suite rooms with separate living, working and sleeping space; and the latest technology, allowing guests to stay connected while they travel. The property also will provide more than 2,000 square feet of meeting space.
"We are excited about our affiliation with the Choice Hotels Cambria brand," CGI Merchant Group founder/CEO Raoul Thomas said. "I have been observing the growth in the North Miami Beach market for several years, and Cambria will make a great addition, sitting at the juncture of two of Miami's strongest retail and residential areas in Aventura and Bal Harbor."
