IPC Healthcare Inc., a national acute hospitalist and post-acute provider organization, announced today that it has acquired three Ocala practices: Ocala Hospital Group PA; Hospitalists of Ocala LLC; and Ocala Geriatric Services.
The acquisitions complement IPC Healthcare's expanding presence in acute and post-acute services in the Ocala area.
"We continue to focus on acquiring quality practices that further enhance IPC's presence in existing markets, and we are excited to welcome the talented clinicians of all three of these practices to the IPC team," R. Jeffrey Taylor, president and chief operations officer of IPC Healthcare, said. "We already overlap with these groups in several facilities, and we believe that through consolidation of the groups IPC can ultimately provide a more consistent and aligned service to those facilities and to the community."
With corporate offices in North Hollywood, California, and employing over 2,000, IPC Healthcare’s affiliated physicians and other clinical providers practice in approximately 400 hospitals and 2,000 post-acute care facilities nationwide. The company provides its clinicians with comprehensive training, information technology, and management support systems to improve the quality and reduce the cost of patient care in the facilities it serves.
As the nation's leading national physician group practice focused on the delivery of hospital medicine and related facility-based services, IPC cares for over 1 million patients annually while maintaining quality standards in conformance with clients’ missions and objectives. The three Ocala acquisitions are expected to add more than 130,000 encounters on a combined annualized basis.
