Orlando-based Tourico Holidays, a wholesale travel brokerage, announced this week it has become the exclusive travel partner to National Airlines, which will initiate bookings through Tourico’s extensive inventory of hotel, car and vacation-related rentals.
“In the travel business, you don’t want customers leaving your booking channel to look for other components of their trip,” Jason Soss, president of global business development for Tourico Holidays, said. “By partnering with Tourico, National customers will now have access to everything that they need in one place and at great rates.”
The joint venture was announced shortly after National Airlines revealed that it will begin commercial services, with its inaugural flight scheduled to depart Windsor, Ontario, on Dec. 17 and providing year-round service. National also plans commercial flights to Las Vegas; Vancouver; St. John’s, Newfoundland; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
“After comparing potential competitors against Tourico Holidays, it became clear that our customers will enjoy the most bundle options and the best prices through Tourico,” National Airlines Manager of Network Planning and Strategy Dennis Daley said. “Not only will travelers now get best-in-class air service through National Airlines, they can now also purchase complete trip packages that fit their specific needs and budget.”
Tourico Holidays contracts directly with travel providers using a high-volume wholesale model, serving over 4,900 clients in 100 countries worldwide. National Airlines is part of the National Air Cargo Holdings family of enterprises, established in 1990 and headquartered in Orlando.
