Tupperware Brands Corporation and O’Connor Capital Partners will break ground on a 100,000-square-foot retail site on West Osceola Parkway in northern Osceola County this month, with prime space allotted to 4 Rivers Smokehouse, 24-Hour Fitness and Burlington Coat Factory.
Scheduled to open in May 2016, the new development will balance the partners’ adjacent Crosslands shopping center, which opened in November 2014.
The retail endeavor is an addition to Tupperware’s worldwide headquarters, which has been in development for 12 years, and encompasses retail, office, multi-family residential and hotel sites.
The project’s eastern zone will include a SunRail station—to be named the Tupperware Station—as Phase II of a commuter rail line scheduled to open by 2017, increasing accessibility to the area’s offerings for commuters, shoppers, tourists and residents. Federal funding for Phase II of the commuter line was announced by the U.S. Department of Transportation on Sept. 28.
Tupperware Brands Corporation markets innovative, premium products across multiple brands utilizing a relationship-based selling method through an independent sales force of nearly 3 million.
O’Connor Capital Partners is a New York-based real estate investment, development and management firm managing more than 22 million square feet of retail space in the U.S. and Mexico.
