Sunshine Health announced this week that Nathan Landsbaum, who has been with the firm since 2010 -- and most recently serving as senior vice president of finance -- has been appointed chief operating officer, effective immediately.
The announcement was made from the company's Sunrise, Florida, headquarters.
"It is an honor to be selected to serve in this capacity at Sunshine Health," Landsbaum said. "I look forward to working with the team to further enhance our operations statewide, ensuring quality services are available to our members and that strong relationships are maintained with our providers."
Originally from St. Louis, Landsbaum joined Centene Corporation in Aug. 2005 as a member of the corporate development department and was promoted to senior director of market development in 2009.
"Sunshine Health is committed to hiring company leaders who will enhance our ability to serve our members and providers here in Florida," Sunshine Health CEO Chris Paterson said. "In his new role as chief operating officer, Nathan will help ensure that Sunshine Health continues to deliver responsive service to our members, providers and to our state partner as we continue to grow in Florida."
Serving Florida since 2009, Sunshine Health, a wholly owned subsidiary of Centene Corporation, is a Medicaid managed care health plan. As one of the largest medical benefit administrators offering coordinated care and a network of support, Sunshine remains committed to improving the community health, “one person at a time.”
