Orlando’s Massey Services acquires Oklahoma-based ECOSHIELD Pest Control.
Harvey Massey, chairman and CEO of Massey Services, announced the purchase of ECOSHIELD Pest Control of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tuesday at Massey’s Orlando headquarters, signaling further expansion for the industry’s fifth largest enterprise.
Currently servicing over 450,000 customers in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, South Carolina and Oklahoma, the acquisition will extend the company’s reach across the nation as it simultaneously marks its 30th consecutive year of growth.
As well as ranking among the nation’s top pest prevention firms in size, Massey Services is also the industry’s number one largest family-owned business, founded in 1985 by Harvey Massey.
“We are pleased to welcome the ECOSHIELD Pest Control team members and customers to the Massey Services organization,” Massey said. “We look for companies who have a reputation for exceptional customer service, and ECOSHIELD Pest Control has done an outstanding job in their commitment to total customer satisfaction.”
The Potomac Company acted as the exclusive financial advisor to ECOSHIELD in the sale.
Massey Services and its subsidiary companies employ approximately 1,700 workers and manage 1,420 vehicles to deliver residential and commercial pest prevention, termite protection and property maintenance services.
Massey operates from service centers across its primarily southeastern U.S. service area, providing irrigation and landscape services in addition to pest control.
