Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc. soon will begin constructing its newest outlet center in the heart of Daytona Beach, Florida, near beaches and landmarks including the Daytona Speedway.
Bringing not only top-notch shopping but also jobs and tax revenue to the region, Tanger’s project will occupy approximately 350,000 square feet of retail space and feature more than 80 brand-name and designer outlet retailers.
"We look forward to delivering a world-class shopping experience to residents and visitors of the iconic Daytona Beach area," President and CEO Steven B. Tanger said. "The exciting retailers that will be featured at the center will be announced as we get closer to our grand opening date."
The future venue, expected to be open in time for next year’s holiday shopping season, is at the southeast quadrant of Interstate 95 and LPGA Boulevard. It will run adjacent to the Ladies Professional Golf Association’s corporate headquarters and golf course, a few miles north of the racetrack, and approximately 6 miles from Volusia County beaches.
The center is expected to create more than 400 jobs during the construction phase, and more than 900 full- and part-time jobs. It is estimated it will bring in $8.8 million in tax revenue annually.
