Corporate boutique law firm Alvarez Arrieta & Diaz-Silveira (AADS) recently promoted Colleen Grady to partnership at its Miami, Florida-based headquarters, augmenting its international and stateside merger and acquisition practice, chiefly in the Caribbean and Latin America.
AADS specializes in international and domestic M&A, finance, real estate, immigration and private wealth services for businesses, family offices and high net-worth individuals. The company expressed pride in Grady’s new designation.
"For our firm, having Colleen join us was an exceptional opportunity to add a highly regarded lawyer and a true leader to our team," company co-founder Pedro "Tony" Alvarez said. "Today, we count ourselves as fortunate to have her with us and very much look forward to her contributions as a member of our partnership."
As an experienced M&A professional with expertise in complex financings and joint ventures, Grady brings a broad client base ranging from Florida to Latin America, as well as Scandinavia. She played a key role in a $150-million liquid natural gas plant purchase in the Caribbean, a transaction that received an award from the Daily Business Review.
Additionally, Grady has been recognized for her work in Latin American farm enterprises. Previously, she served in various American and European offices for White & Case, and also taught at Florida's Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad Law Center for nearly a decade.
"In coming back into the private practice of law from academia, I was thrilled to join a young and growing firm in my chosen area. Now, I look forward to working with my partners to assure its continued success and excellence," said Grady, a University of Miami School of Law alumna.
