South Florida’s chapter of The American Marketing Association (AMA) today announced from Miami, Florida that nine new board chairs have been appointed for 2016.
The board is dedicated to serving the local area’s marketing community.
"We had put together a strong team of professionals with highly diverse backgrounds in both academia and various functional areas of business," Carlo Palazzese, AMA South Florida Chapter President, said. “Their expertise and commitment will lead our chapter to the next level and help us continue to serve on the mission of providing the best resources for members to expand their business and career opportunities.”
2016’s AMA South Florida Board Members are: Lewis Greenberg, Immediate Past President; Palazzese, President; Steven Friedman, Treasurer; and respective chairs as follows: Ginna Peña, communications; Giano Currie, collegiate relations; Daniela Pitts, corporate relations; Yanyn San Luis, membership; Laura Chavez, programming events; and Yasmine Gahed, sponsorship.
"We are excited to come on board and bring members a full array of events, social content initiatives and exclusive discounts for 2016,” Peña said. “We will host a monthly mix-up of Meet and Mingle Happy Hours, agency crawl workshops and roundtable discussions.”
South Florida’s AMA Chapter has a rich history, having been incorporated in 1952. The incoming board will maintain the organization’s goal of providing opportunities for professional enrichment for all members.
“We seek to connect marketing professionals in collaborative environments that will maximize learning opportunities, career growth, partnerships and innovation,” Peña said. “With the right tools, I believe that South Florida marketing professionals will become catalysts in the advancement of our field at an international level within the next few years."
