Pioneering the sea of change for sustainability and filling a vital niche in Florida construction, The Spinnaker Group (TSG) recently announced that it has certified its 100th LEED project, continuing the work it began over a decade ago.
TSG founder Rob Hink envisioned a large-scale change in South Florida’s construction industry when he launched The Spinnaker Group, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm headquartered in Weston, Florida. Not only does the company provide top-quality green construction consultation, but it also remains committed to sustainable education, tailoring information for developers, architects, design engineers and government-affiliated professionals.
Specializing in sustainability and LEED consulting, energy modeling and building commissioning, Spinnaker has developed LEED residential projects for a diverse range of projects, from affordable housing to luxury clientele. Its signature can be seen on many Miami area institutions, from universities to museums and banks.
Recent accomplishments include the Miami Design District — an entire neighborhood of sustainable development that earned the city's first LEED for Neighborhood for Development certification. Additionally, the firm has served as advisor on many international projects.
TSG partners with architects, property owners, and communities to deliver cost effective, elegant, sustainable, and responsible solutions for the built environment. To date it has created over 600 million square feet of commissioned building space.
