Florida’s Oasis Outsourcing, the largest privately held Professional Employer Organization (PEO) in the United States, recently announced that it has purchased Minneapolis-based PEO Doherty Employer Services (DES) for an undisclosed amount.
"As Oasis continues to build our business, strategic acquisitions are a critical component of our overall growth strategy," Oasis president and CEO Mark Perlberg said from the company’s West Palm Beach offices. "Our acquisition of Doherty Employer Services provides us with the opportunity to significantly expand our Midwest presence, allowing Oasis to continue our mission of providing innovative products and services to our client base. We are excited to welcome an experienced and talented team of Doherty professionals to the Oasis organization."
Doherty has provided its clients with human resources and employment-related services for over two decades. With the acquisition, Oasis now serves nearly 6,000 clients and 200,000 employees across the nation.
DES will continue to operate sales and service from Minnesota, ensuring continuity of service while taking advantage of Oasis’ broader network. Its Doherty Staffing Solutions branch, a family-owned business, will remain independent.
"We are thrilled to enter into this relationship with Oasis," Valerie Doherty, owner and CEO of Doherty Employer Services, said. "As a leading PEO focused on innovation and service, we've found that Oasis shares the same strategic vision and values as DES. I'm confident that our clients will benefit from this affiliation in a number of ways, while enjoying the same high level of service that DES employees have always provided."
