An array of homes and parks will adjoin a 15-acre lake in Hialeah, Florida’s planned community of Bonterra following Lennar Corp.’s recent purchase of a 36-acre parcel.
The seller, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida-based BBX Capital Real Estate, previously undertook a joint venture with CC Homes to develop the area, which is close to major highways and Miami International Airport, with initial plans to build close to 400 single-family homes.
Under the additional agreement, Lennar will construct 463 single-family homes, villas and townhomes on its parcel, as part of a larger planned community featuring 1,171 single-family homes, villas, townhomes, and apartments on a total of 128 acres.
"We are excited to have Lennar bring their extensive home-building experience to Bonterra," Seth Wise, BBX Capital Real Estate president, said. “Lennar and CC Homes represent a collection of high-quality builders and provide a testament to the unique Bonterra community, lifestyle and location. Bonterra is one of the last new mastered-planned communities in north Miami-Dade County."
