Phil Walls, an experienced pharmacist and chief clinical officer for Tampa, Florida-based medical benefits management business myMatrixx, has been recognized as CompPharma's Person of the Year for 2015 — the second consecutive year myMatrixx has scored the honor.
myMatrixx is is a pharmacy and ancillary medical benefits management firm focusing on keeping workers' compensation claim medication costs manageable without impairing patient care, while CompPharma serves as an association for workers' compensation pharmacy benefit management (PBM) companies.
"Despite his incredibly busy schedule, Phil Walls volunteers for the tough projects, such as our initial compound research paper and the new one coming out in 2016,” CompPharma President Joe Paduda said. “He has also been instrumental in designing our pharmacy data analytic project. Phil is super responsive, thoughtful and works hard to help educate the work comp industry on pharmacy issues."
Having worked with myMatrixx for nine years, Walls brings over 25 years total experience in pharmacy, health-care informatics, and workers' compensation practices. Walls, who has been a frequent panelist on clinical issues in the sphere of workers' compensation, is also a published author and has played a key role in developing his company’s clinical programs.
