Pontoon, hyphen merger clears path for Adecco’s HR outsourcing

With a merger with hyphen now complete, Florida’s Pontoon will begin representing global HR provider Adecco Group as its outsourcing channel — positioning Pontoon advantageously as the New Year begins, the companies announced recently in Jacksonville.

Subsequent to the merger, the three-year-old Pontoon now oversees approximately 1,500 staffers, a larger client base and broader service offerings in over 92 nations. The transaction also represents consolidation for Adecco.

“The Pontoon and hyphen merger creates a competitive advantage for Pontoon,” Mike Wachholz, Pontoon president, said. “We now serve as a single business unit for Adecco, offering MSP and RPO services globally. The size and scope of our organization is unrivaled in the industry.”

Adecco’s CEO Alain Dehaze said that professional staffing, including HR outsourcing, is a high priority for his company.

“The merger of our leading HR outsourcing businesses, Pontoon and hyphen, strengthens global brand awareness for Pontoon and fosters even greater focus on further expanding our leading position in a growing market,” Dehaze said.

Adecco Group North America, based in Jacksonville, Florida, provides professional recruiting, staffing, consulting and business services to various industries.

Pontoon, with corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, is the global leader in workforce solutions, specializing in contingent workforce solutions, recruitment process outsourcing and workforce consulting.
