Miami-based South Florida Business Journal (SFBJ) honored William Burns, CFO of Cross Country Healthcare, with its “Turnaround Achievement of the Year” award during its recent 9th Annual CFO Awards event.

SFBJ sponsors the annual event to credit regional financial leaders for their work. The honor, awarded to individual CFOs for their organizational leadership in helping their respective companies achieve remarkable growth, is granted once a year by the South Florida Business Journal editorial team along with a panel of industry professionals.

The 2016 award was presented by Steven Douglas Associates Jan. 28 at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 on the 17th Street Causeway in Fort Lauderdale.

Cross Country Healthcare makes its headquarters in Boca Raton, offering workforce solutions on a national level. The business provides placement services for physicians and executives in the health-care sector and maintains contracts with clients such as hospitals, practice groups, clinics, nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, governments, schools, and home-care organizations.
