Recognizing innovation and strategic fiscal leadership, the South Florida Business Journal recently named Matthew Hashem, CFO of MDVIP Inc., as one of South Florida’s top CFOs.
The distinction recognizes local CFOs who are innovators, strategists and pioneers in the marketplace. MDVIP Inc., a personalized health-care program, has served the nation from its headquarters in Boca Raton since 2000.
“I’m honored to be recognized by the local media for the work we’ve done, but our success truly has been a team effort,” Hashem said. “The work of the entire MDVIP organization has helped us succeed in making MDVIP the leader in the personalized health care field.”
Hashem, who joined the membership-model based company as VP of finance in 2005, was promoted to CFO in 2006 at the age of 34 and has also served on MDVIP’s board of directors. His cross-departmental involvement spurred a phenomenal eight-fold growth for MDVIP through nationwide market penetration — growing the number of members from 30,000 to over 250,000 — over the last decade, and he is highly active in local and regional community initiatives.
“We are thrilled that Matt is getting recognition he deserves outside our organization and our industry,” CEO Bret Jorgensen said. “He’s one of those CFOs who never loses sight of the big picture, for the company, our affiliated physicians, and their patients. Matt is a strategic partner across every area of the business, helping our people and the organization drive long-term value. That’s Matt’s philosophy, and we’re a better organization because of it.”
MDVIP, with over 830 affiliated physicians serving more than a quarter of a million patients, empowers individuals to reach their health and wellness goals through knowledge and coaching.
