Oakridge Global Energy Solutions Inc. (OGES) recently announced from Melbourne, Florida its new collaboration with IST Co. Ltd. of Tokyo for battery technology consultation to keep OGES ahead of the curve in its industry.
“We at Oakridge regard our relationship with Japan as highly important because of its technical prowess and also because it is a very strong ally to the United States and Australia, which will be vitally important in the increasingly tumultuous international geopolitical situation,” Steve Barber, Oakridge executive chairman and CEO, said. “We are excited to be working with the high caliber of people and companies that we have had the pleasure to meet in the Japanese lithium ion battery market.”
Adding that Oakridge prioritizes high-end technology, Barber noted that OGES “has the talent and technology to overcome the competition.” The company will strengthen its presence in Japan by working with Japanese technical universities, research facilities, materials suppliers, and lithium ion equipment suppliers, utilizing a previously established Hong Kong subsidiary.
“Our goal is to continue to provide cutting edge technology, the highest quality and reliability, and affordable pricing to our customers,” Barber said. “With IST complementing the existing Oakridge advising team in Japan we have now greatly expanded our presence and relationship with Japan, while at the same time providing a much higher quality of equipment and raw materials for building our battery systems.”
OGES, with headquarters in Palm Bay, is an integrated energy storage solutions company using state-of-the-art technology in the design and manufacture of cells, batteries, and energy storage systems. The company’s USA-made product line includes multiple lithium-ion elements.
