ExxonMobil announced today its ongoing support of a major motorsports event slated for Saturday, March 19 in Sebring, Florida, pledging renewed multi-year sponsorship of the key annual race utilizing Mobil 1 branded synthetic motor oil.
“[T]his grueling 12-hour race provides ExxonMobil with an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the performance and durability of Mobil 1 while pushing our motor oil to extreme limits,” Kai Decker, ExxonMobil’s global motorsports manager, said. “Our decades-long partnership … has not only brought some thrilling racing moments on America’s oldest road racing track, but also contributed to the development of Mobil 1 products used in everyday passenger vehicles on the road.”
The Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring "Fueled by Fresh from Florida," regarded as the nation’s foremost sports car endurance event, offers ExxonMobil a prime platform to showcase its products, said industry executives. This year marks the 21st year of title sponsorship for ExxonMobil and the 64th annual Sebring race.
“For more than two decades, we have thoroughly enjoyed having Mobil 1 as our name and title sponsor,” Wayne Estes, Sebring’s president and general manager, said. “Sebring International Raceway looks forward to providing this iconic race to the fans while partnering with Mobil 1.”
The first portion of the event will be televised by FOX Sports and streamed live on IMSA.com.
