Forbes recently ranked Lakeland Regional Health (LRH) No. 64 out of 250 on its America’s Best Mid-Size Employers for 2016 list, the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce said this week.
This marks the second consecutive year that LRH has made the list.
Requirements for the recognition include being a workplace where employees have a sense of security, understanding, need and inspiration. Forbes collected information from more than 30,000 U.S. employees before paring the list.
Participation was voluntary, and also telling of the individual organizations, with eager participation often indicating satisfied employees.
Some other recognized health care providers include Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Cleveland Clinic, New York University Langone Medical Center and St. Jude's Research Hospital.
"We are honored to continue to receive national recognition for our organizational commitment to creating a healthy, nurturing and vital workplace culture," John Hoppe, general counsel and interim VP of LRH, said.
