Lynn University athletes will sport adidas footwear, apparel and accessories as part of a contract between the famous footwear maker and the school’s NCAA Division II “Fighting Knights,” the university announced today in Boca Raton, Florida.
Slated to extend through 2019-20, the four-year agreement worth over $1 million builds on a current collaboration between Lynn University and Baker’s Sports, an authorized adidas dealer based in Jacksonville since 1997.
"adidas is truly a global sports brand and, like Lynn, focuses on shaping the future through innovation," Devin Crosby, Lynn’s athletics director, said. "Throughout our talks with adidas and Baker's Sports, they put great value in the Lynn partnership and collaborated to ensure that the Fighting Knights brand advances its reach."
The Fighting Knights — comprising 14 separate teams representing the university — currently rank high in their respective sectors as they vie for titles and championships on the national level. Its tennis, lacrosse, golf and swimming teams all enjoy high rankings, with outstanding performance also displayed by its baseball, basketball, cross-country, softball, soccer, and volleyball squads.
Lynn University is an independent college with a diverse student body of approximately 3,000 individuals representing 100 nations. U.S. News & World Report ranks Lynn in the top five most international schools as well as among the top 25 most innovative institutions.
