Choice Hotels International Inc. of Rockville, Maryland today announced that Fort Lauderdale, Florida’s Future Energy Solutions (FES) has been named as a qualified vendor for the company, allowing its thousands of franchises access to significant energy savings.
The large global hotel company and franchising enterprise selected FES to provide its “Gold Initiative Program” to its franchisees nationwide following the Florida firm’s outstanding performance and delivery for an existing exterior lighting contract.
"Our Qualified Vendor program identifies the best in class hospitality offerings on the market, taking out the guesswork for our hotel franchisees and enabling them to focus on what they do best — delivering exceptional guest experiences," Choice Hotels’ Rick Summa, VP of procurement services, said.
Unique to the industry is FES’ ability not only to install energy-efficient lighting fixtures at no capital cost to the client, but also to offer materials maintenance free of charge for the duration of the agreement — utilizing a revolutionary financial model. Additionally, the installation poses very little disruption to the client’s everyday operations.
Besides lowering the customer’s carbon footprint, benefits include better visibility and a subtly enhanced sense of security for both staff and guests.
"Hotel owners often forego investing in upgrades such as exterior lighting that don't directly translate into added sales or service standards,” Daniel Gold, CEO of FES, said. "But FES makes it possible for them to get the best of both worlds: state-of-the-art, energy-efficient lighting systems with no upfront investment and the ability to concentrate on the hospitality side of their business."
FES provides green technology solutions for industrial and commercial clients in the hospitality and restaurant industries as well as retail, industrial, municipal and school settings. Choice owns and oversees a suite of 10 brands with over 6,400 hotels worldwide.
