Known for his “highly energetic and vibrant manner,” business professor Peter Ricchiuti will serve as guest speaker at Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce’s special midyear economic update event 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 16 at the Cleveland Heights Golf Course.
Billed as “the business professor you wish you had back in college,” Ricchiuti (pronounced ri-choo-ty), who began his career at Kidder Peabody and served as Louisiana’s assistant state treasurer before coming to Tulane University, is ranked as one of the nation’s top instructors, with frequent speaking engagements for a variety of audiences ranging from athletes to nuns and the well-known TED talks.
Ricchuiti serves on the faculty of Tulane’s Freeman School of Business as the William B. Burkenroad, Jr. Clinical Professor of Practice, teaching courses in finance and investments. He is also the author of Stocks Under Rocks: How to Uncover Overlooked, Profitable Market Opportunities.
Co-sponsored by financial planning firm Allen & Company, also situated in Lakeland, the luncheon has limited seating and is open for advance registration, with special fees for Lakeland Chamber members who can take advantage of an early bird incentive of $25 per seat if purchased by May 23 or $30 per seat for standard admission. Nonmembers are also welcome for $40 per person, and corporate tables are available on request.
