The Florida Association of Directors of Nursing Administration (FADONA) recently honored Kera Literal with its Nurse Administrator of the Year Award.
The award acknowledges nurse administrators who have shown a commitment to providing quality care, as well as mentoring and nurturing staff members.
Literal is currently the director of nursing services at Bradenton's Greenbriar Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, which is part of the Greystone Health Network. The center features suites reflecting a home-like atmosphere and offers a variety of services including physical and occupational therapy, cardiac and stroke rehab, pain management, dental and eye care, respite care, and hospice care.
Literal helped the center earn the 2015 Silver Achievement in Quality Award from the American Health Care Association. Greenbriar was one of 29 Florida care centers to receive national recognition for its devotion to improving the lives of seniors and disabled individuals.
Literal has worked with Greystone Health Network for eight years. Prior to becoming a nursing services director, she held numerous other roles such as a clinical educator, floor nurse and unit manager.
"Kera consistently models the behaviors she desires in her team — exceptional clinical care, compassion and respect," Greystone Health Network Clinical Operations VP Charlene Peters wrote in a recommendation letter.
