Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc., a diversified publicly traded firm based in Miami, recently hired John Cornetta as VP and head of procurement to serve from the company’s New York branch.

Bringing decades of experience, Cornetta will report directly to SVP Carly Maher, who oversees products and service management. Ladenburg’s COO Adam Malamed warmly welcomed Cornetta, stating that the company looks forward to benefitting from his efficiency.

Previously, Cornetta worked in a similar capacity for Global Brands Group USA, McGraw-Hill Education Inc., the Intercontinental Hotel Group and AllianceBernstein LP. He earned an MBA from Rutgers University.

“Ladenburg Thalmann is enjoying a period of accelerated growth as we and our subsidiary broker-dealers continue to expand,” Maher said. “With expansion comes the need to realize economies of scale across our growing organizations. We welcome the expertise in sourcing and enterprise-wide contracts that John will bring to the larger firm, our subsidiaries and affiliate companies.”

The company, with six broker-dealer subsidiaries composed of over 4,000 advisors and more than $125 billion in assets, remains committed to growth while respecting its branches’ individual identities and cultures.

“I’m delighted to welcome John to the team,” Malamed said. “We look forward to the efficiencies and benefits he will bring to the company as part of our continuing effort to improve our return on invested capital.”
