Anyone desiring a “Head Rush 360” can find this exhilarating ride at Kissimmee-based Fun Spot America’s new location announced yesterday in conjunction with Old Town USA, now housing four family-friendly rides for the theme park.
Of course, those aiming for a more down-to-earth ride experience can stick with the go-karts, arcades and kiddie rides.
In partnership with Fun Spot America, Old Town USA’s recently opened “south entertainment district” will also offer other rides including a new Ferris wheel. Additionally, it will house the unique New York Burger Company and a beer garden for additional outdoor enjoyment.
Fun Spot America’s COO, John Arie Jr., said that the $1 million upgrade is “huge news” not only for the business but also for the greater Osceola County region. The company is adding 40 local jobs at the new minimum $10 per hour starting wage, equaling good news for those seeking summer or year-round employment.
“[We] all continue to strive to keep this region the No. 1 destination in the world,” Arie said. “Our goal is for all our guests to have the #BestDayEver when they are at one of our locations."
He added that local initiatives such as Experience Kissimmee — which hosts Osceola County’s tourism website — have contributed greatly to the entertainment complex’s overall success by creating a long-range vision in a highly competitive arena.
Fun Spot America Theme Parks are Central Florida's only family owned theme parks, with locations in both Orlando and Kissimmee. Founded by John Arie Sr. in 1978, the site was eventually developed and branded as Fun Spot America Theme Parks. Currently the parks employ approximately 500 staffers.
