SportBusiness International, a leading magazine covering global sports industry, recently rated Florida Atlantic University’s (FAU) sports management MBA degree as the Sunshine State’s best program in its category as well as among the top three internationally.
The degree at FAU’s College of Business, offered since 2000 at the main campus in Boca Raton, has won accolades for four years running, consistently ranked in the world’s top 10 initiatives of its kind and esteemed for its rigorous field-based approach requiring candidates to maintain relevant employment during their course programs.
"When I look at the Top 25 list and see the programs that we are in the same company with, I find it amazing to see how far we as a program have come in 16 years," James Riordan, director of FAU's MBA in Sport Management, said. "I'm very proud of our alumni who perform at the highest standard each and every day."
Many alumni have pursued successful careers with news bureaus, universities and professional teams including the Miami Dolphins, ESPN, the Miami Heat, Florida Panthers and other high-profile sports organizations.
