Lauren Smith, managing director for the Miami office of the nationwide and global firm Diversified Search, was recently named as president of the Florida chapter of The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) in Miami.
“As governance practices and board composition face more and more public scrutiny, Florida directors have a tremendous opportunity to share best practices and learn from experts through the Florida NACD Chapter events,” Smith said.
Smith, who works with Diversified’s Miami team, brings her valuable perspective on board management and strategy as it relates to the marketplace in Florida. She has assisted with the NACD Florida Chapter’s leadership since its 2005 founding by the National Association of Corporate Directors. Today, the NACD Florida Chapter provides a forum for sharing corporate governance knowledge and ideas statewide.
Diversified Search provides staffing solutions. Smith has conducted high-level searches and placed executives in positions for its high-profile clients — companies including Apple, DHL, Office Depot, Ryder, Tupperware and more. She also serves the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the American Red Cross South Florida Chapter as a board member for each.
