Toy and entertainment firm Jazwares, based in Sunrise, recently named creative marketer Karen Kilpatrick as the company’s marketing VP for its online promotional platform, “JazWings,” positioning itself for full rollout and growth in fall 2016.

With the relatively new program, creators, inventors and consumers will now be able to utilize the company’s tools for building innovative brands. Jazwares recently supported the initial development of Panda-a-Panda, scheduled to hit the retail market in spring 2017.

Kirkpatrick brings website experience as well as creative talent, having written an award-winning children’s book series and launched brands in the past.

"I'm so excited to be able to lead JazWings' next phase of development," Kilpatrick said. "I understand the challenges of being an independent creator and the time, connections, and resources required to build a successful brand. JazWings offers creators an incredible opportunity to leverage the power of a global toy company to bring an idea to life and gives fans a voice in creating the next big thing.”

Writers, cartoonists, and artists submit concepts for animation, books, comics, graphics and illustration, games and toys to JazWings. JazWings community members offer feedback by voting, while staff helps creators bring the chosen ideas to fruition.

“I am passionate about building the platform and helping other creators like me to realize their dreams,” Kilpatrick said. “We are looking forward to an exciting fall and 2017."
