Intellectual property attorney Richard Guerra recently came aboard McDonald Hopkins’ Miami-based office to support the firm and its client base, bringing extensive experience in medical cases as well as patent law.
With a J.D. from George Washington University Law School and credentials from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Florida Bar, Guerra is board certified as an intellectual property law specialist.
"Richard is another exceptional addition to our large and growing intellectual property team," Raquel Rodriguez, managing member for the firm's Miami arm, said. "His expertise across many industries and technologies adds to the strength of the department and adds a further dimension due to his ability to litigate in Spanish as well as English.”
Guerra previously practiced at boutique firm Feldman Gale along with colleague Rafael Perez-Pineiro, who also joined recently McDonald Hopkins.
McDonald Hopkins focuses on business and advocacy law. Its intellectual property department offers original resolutions with a depth of industry knowledge.
“Our office now has three senior fully bilingual intellectual property lawyers, which will help us continue to grow our IP work to serve clients in Miami and throughout Latin America," Rodriguez said.
McDonald Hopkins operates branches nationwide with hubs in Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus and Detroit as well as Miami and West Palm Beach.
