Butler North, the second phase of a 267-acre Gainesville-area shopping hub, recently announced the addition of several prominent anchor stores including Payless ShoeSource and Marshall’s, with a grand opening for the latter scheduled for tomorrow.
The Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce revealed that Marshall’s will hold its opening ceremony at 8 a.m. Aug. 25 at Butler North, located at 3965 Plaza Blvd. S40, Butler Plaza North, with festivities lasting all day from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
At 22,000 square feet, Marshall’s will offer off-price quality apparel, accessories and items for the home, pets and more; while Payless, the well-known family footwear outfit, occupies 6,143 square feet.
“We’re delighted to welcome Marshalls and Payless to Butler North,” Deborah Butler, president of Butler Enterprises, said. “These two dominant anchors offer affordable fashion, accessories and home goods that are ideal to serve the families and thousands of students and visitors in North Central Florida.”
Butler North is the latest phase of the shopping center off of Clark Butler Boulevard. The mixed-use Butler Town Center is scheduled to open in fall 2018. Altogether, the complex will consist of 1.9 million square feet devoted to retail, dining and entertainment and residential use.
Earlier this summer, a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Dollar Tree, Sam’s Club and Dick’s Sporting Goods opened their doors, along with Five Below, Jimmy John’s and Orangetheory Fitness; and more shops are slated to join them in the coming months.
