Gainesville-based Pro Taekwondo School, offering programs for all ages, recently accepted the “Mark of Excellence,” a top martial arts education industry award, from the esteemed Century Martial Arts organization at a Las Vegas trade show event.
Held at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the 2016 Martial Arts SuperShow provided the backdrop for the school’s proud acceptance of its new status. Head instructor Erik Magbanua, who takes great pride in his staff’s high level of dedication, accepted the award at the summer event.
Only a few martial arts schools qualify for the rank, bestowed annually by Century Martial Arts to top-ranking businesses in the field.
As a devoted community-oriented school on the forefront of martial arts teaching and development trends, Pro Taekwondo School has participated consistently at the Martial Arts SuperShow for a dozen years. Hosted annually by the Martial Arts Industry Association (MAIA), the gathering is the largest martial art industry trade show and educational event worldwide.
“At Century, our core belief is that the martial arts have the ability to profoundly change lives,” Century founder and CEO Michael Dillard said. “That is exactly what our Mark of Excellence winners are doing — changing lives for the better in their communities.”
Pro Taekwondo School is a martial arts school offering mixed martial arts (MMA) & Tae Kwon Do classes for kids, men and women.
