Point Blank Enterprises (PBE), an innovative producer of soft body armor and related tech based in Pompano Beach, recently named Mark Edwards to be its new EVP in charge of military sales and business development.
When he joined the company — along with its subsidiary, The Protective Group (TPG) — in February as VP for land systems business development, Edwards was charged with developing overall strategic planning for the protective gear manufacturer.
With more than 25 years of expertise, he will now spearhead the group’s campaign to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with U.S. Defense agencies. PBE produces “stab-resistant” apparel and accessories also capable of withstanding bullet impact and fragmentation.
“Mark’s industry know-how will be a significant asset to our executive team,” PBE’s CEO Daniel Gaston said. “We extend our best wishes to Mark as he takes up this new role and look forward to his continued success.”
Edwards earned a bachelor’s in mathematics from Wright State University in Ohio and an MBA from Pepperdine University in California. Prior to joining PBE, he served as president of TenCate Advanced Armor Inc. of Hebron, Ohio. Additionally, he held executive positions with numerous other industry companies overseeing management, operations and logistics.
Gaston praised the new executive VP’s depth of knowledge, broad experience and potential for creating partnership and growth opportunities.
