Tampa-based Pegasus TransTech company, a provider of business automation and document management in the transportation industry, recently named Salem Elnahwy as its first chief technology officer.
As CTO, Elnahwy will take charge of the firm’s development, quality assurance and user experience information at a time of rapid growth for Pegasus TransTech. He will report directly to President and CEO Frank Adelman.
“Salem has changed the face of mobile solutions not just for our company but for the whole industry,” Adelman said. “The influence of our software and our employees is far-reaching, and there are many exciting projects coming out of the technology organization. It’s a dynamic time for transportation technology.”
Elnahwy studied computer science and biochemistery and earned a bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Alexandria in Egypt. Prior to his arrival at Pegasus, he worked with Verizon and a Boston-based IT firm.
“We’ve created a powerful platform that takes center stage in the operations of our clients,” Elnawhy, a longtime Tampa dweller, said. “And now we’re building new innovation on top of that. It’s exciting, and I look forward to introducing the additional solutions we’re developing in our creative labs.”
