Davie-based International Tool joins construction trade group

Davie-based International Tool, a vendor of high quality industrial power tools, recently joined the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Florida East Coast Chapter, a commercial construction trade association which makes its home in Coconut Creek.

"We are excited to be joining the ABC Florida East Coast Chapter," International Tool President Dean Barnett said. "We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service, integrity and ethics throughout all aspects of our business, so it is great to be part of an organization that promotes the same."

International Tool began during the 1960s when Louis Wild sold power cords from his van directly to contractors at job sites. Now, the company is one of the few distributors that carries comprehensive product lines from each of its manufacturer suppliers — not just popular or trendy items. By purchasing in bulk, the company is able to pass savings on to its customers.

Later this month, International Tool's retail store at 2590 Davie Road in Davie will hold its annual Biggest Sale of the Year event, scheduled from Oct. 29 through Nov. 5. The event will offer giveaways and manufacturers’ representatives will be available for questions and answers from the public.

Founded over 45 years ago, ABC’s mission is to provide ethical leadership and a voice for the construction trade community with an emphasis on compliance. Additionally, ABC offers training and education resources.
