The Worth Collection Ltd., an upscale women’s clothing line, was recently acquired by an affiliate of New Water Capital, a Boca Raton-based manufacturer, expanding the fashion brand into Florida from its New York City base.
New Water purchased the entity, known to consumers for its Worth New York and W by Worth brands, from private equity firm L. Catterton at an undisclosed price. Worth Collection markets chic women’s fashions via a multichannel network, featuring showroom appointments as well as online and retail sites.
"Our partnership with New Water will provide Worth with the strategic, operational and industry expertise to enable us to further expand our network of over 1,000 stylists and to continue to provide our customers with the latest fashion, quality and selection in luxury and contemporary apparel," Worth Collection CEO Dave DeFeo said. “Worth is now poised to grow further through new investments in digital marketing and technology.”
New Water officials noted the durability of the Worth Collection brands and its proven customer loyalty.
"We are excited to enter the apparel category and partner with the Worth Collection team and look forward to building on our initial apparel platform investment," G. Brian McGee, a partner at New Water, said.
