In appreciation of the services provided by veterans and first responders, Naples-based business law firm Cohen & Grigsby will be hosting its fifth annual "Wills for Heroes" event on Saturday at Legal Aid Service of Collier County, 4436 Tamiami Trail East, Naples.

The event — free of charge for veterans and first responders — is held annually to thank veterans and responders for the dedication and bravery they bring to their jobs. In collaboration with the Collier County Bar Association, Legal Aid Service staffers and local attorneys will be available to assist veterans, reservists, first responders, emergency personnel and spouses lacking essential legal documents.

Cohen & Grigsby, which also has offices in Pittsburgh, first launched the event in 2011, Cohen & Grigsby partner Kelley Geraghty Price said. Services available include basic wills, advance care directives and other estate planning mechanisms.

"Cohen & Grigsby is grateful for the opportunity to thank these men and women for their service and sacrifice by ensuring that their legal affairs are in order to protect them and those in their family," Price said. "We are honored to have helped hundreds of veterans and first responders since the first 'Wills for Heroes' event."

Any Florida-based residents with military or service identification are eligible. Advance registration is not mandatory but is recommended by completing a form at www.collierlegalaid.org/2016-wills-for-heroes.
