Scores of contemporary craft artisans will grace the St. Petersburg Florida CraftArt 19th Annual CraftArt Festival with their work 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 19 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 20.

This prestigious two-day juried event will be downtown in the heart of the Central Arts District, in front of Florida CraftArt Gallery, located at 501 Central Ave. near Fifth Street.

Each year, the CraftArt Festival brings recognition to talented makers working in clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, paper and mixed media and allows direct contact between artists and purchasers, strengthening the art community’s ties to the public. Many of the vendors, including ceramicists, glass workers and jewelers, are returning from previous years in attendance.

Collectors and patrons will have an exciting opportunity to join the event’s “Collector’s Circle” by pre-selecting their purchases and meeting the artists in person to present award ribbons. Juried by the American Craft Council’s executive director Chris Amundsen, the festival will issue $10,000 in cash prizes to winners in each craft category.

Additionally, artist demonstrations, food trucks, craft beer and wine will be on the scene.

Florida CraftArt Gallery is teaming with Florida’s Demonstrate, Mentor & Grow (DMG) Project of Pinellas County for the fourth consecutive year. Based in St. Petersburg, Florida CraftArt is a nonprofit organization representing both established and emerging fine craft artists.
