Developer David Fry is counting on his latest building, The Place on First in Fort Myers, to help satisfy demand for urban living in Southwest Florida, the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce said in a posting on its website.
The Place on First, a nine-floor luxury complex in the River District, will combine apartment dwelling with restaurant, retail and office space in a setting that emphasizes historic and modern architecture.
Tours of a model preview unit are available, and reservations for the development’s 16 apartments will begin being accepted in January.
“As the Fort Myers River District continues to grow, so does the demand for buildings that fit into this urban setting," Fry said. "Our goal is to meet this need.”
Fry said that the development's location in a vibrant city district with nearby museums, galleries, restaurants and other nightlife venues would also be key selling points.
Situated on the fifth through eighth floors, the 1,296- to 2,412-square-foot units will offer brick accent walls, cove (recessed) lighting, a covered parking space and access to a common area with splash pool, grill area, bike storage and exercise equipment.
