The St. Petersbug Area Chamber of Commerce said a touch of New York urban dwelling will grace downtown St. Petersburg in 2017 with the addition of a rooftop garden atop the Station House mixed-use building.

In addition to the green space with foliage, vines and shaded pergola, a multi-concept restaurant will be added to the five-story building.

Gianfilippo, the building’s proprietor, said the restaurant’s operator will not be revealed until the first quarter of next year when renovations are underway.

In the building’s co-working facility, plans are underway to add a virtual reality gaming space, echoing an element of Silicon Valley. New workshops, a locker room and shower, plus a remodeled arcade are also in the works.

The Station House is just minutes from the downtown business district and offers proximity to beaches, airports, parks, and many restaurants and shopping venues.
