Several SAT/ACT prep courses for area high school students are being offered at Palm Beach State College's Boca Raton campus, a release posted on the Greater Boca Raton Area Chamber of Commerce website said.
Mindworks Prep will be conducting three different courses in the coming months. During the courses, students will learn a variety of skills to help enhance their skills before taking the college entrance altitude tests.
The courses are designed to give students skills and strategies to successfully take the SAT and ACT, while coping will stressors leading up to the specific test dates. The Mindworks curriculum is ranked at the top in the state of Florida and has been nationally recognized to increase test scores by 200-600 points.
The first course, titled Strategies Your Child needs to get Past Every SAT/ACT Tested Concept, will meet from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. on Saturdays from Jan. 21-Feb.18. The fee is $399.
The SAT Bootcamp course will meet 6-9:30 p.m. Feb.24 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 25. The fee is $199.
The third course, A Breakdown of all Sections of the Test including Essential Test taking Strategies, meets 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays from April 1-29. The fee is $349.
MIndworks is offering $7,500 in scholarships for students of need. Applications are available on the website, www.mindworksprep.com.
