A local soup kitchen in Fort Meyers will host an open house at its campus at 3429 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 16, a release on the Greater Fort Myers Chamber Of Commerce website said.
Community Cooperative said anyone who has volunteered in the past, current volunteers and anyone interested in volunteering at its soup kitchen is welcome to attend the open house, which is open to the public, the release said. Volunteers can learn more about upcoming opportunities to make a difference at the soup kitchen.

Community Cooperative is a nonprofit organization comprised of social service entrepreneurs fighting to end homelessness and hunger in their community. The agency provides more than 14,000 meals every month through its Community Cafes and Marketplace and Meals on Wheels programs.
