St. Petersburg College will host its fifth annual Keys to Manhood – A Seminar for Men event on Feb. 11, featuring keynote speaker NFL wide receiver Louis Murphy Jr.
The event, scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SPC Allstate Centre, 3200 34th St. S in St. Petersburg, will present sessions on a range of subjects intended to help male students fulfill their potential for academic success, ghe college said in a release on the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce website.
Murphy is well known for his philanthropic work and his efforts to inspire and positively impact youth. In the Tamp Bay community, he has helped more than 5,000 young people through his 1st Downs 4 Life organizations, which empowers youths with opportunities to make positive changes, the release said.
The titles of other seminar topicsat the event include Overcoming Legal Obstacles, Calling All Athletes, From Dropout to Knock, Be the King of your Finances and Career Decisions.
